Tour Plan

Depart from Addis Ababa and arrive in Arbaminch, where you will be welcomed and transferred to a 4WD vehicle. After a local lunch, visit the Dorze village, known for traditional weaving, pottery, and Kocho preparation. Experience a traditional dance ceremony while taking in the breathtaking cliffs of the Gamo Mountains.

Return to Arbaminch for an overnight stay at Haile Resort.

Travel to the UNESCO-listed Konso Highlands, famous for their ancient terracing techniques and stone villages. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Kanta Lodge with scenic views. Visit a vibrant Omo Valley market where tribes barter goods. Later, experience the culture of the Hamer tribe, known for their ochre-colored hairstyles, leather skirts, and jewelry. Witness traditional ceremonies, including the famous bull jumping ritual if available.

Overnight at Paradise Lodge in Turmi.

Visit the Nyangatom/Bume Village on the western side of the Omo River, where the people are known for lip plates and distinctive tribal attire. Continue to the Karo tribe’s village of Korcho, famous for their intricate body paint and decorations. After lunch in Turmi, head to Jinka and meet the Benna tribe, known for their young protectors, the “stick-walking boys.”

Overnight at Nasa Hotel in Jinka.

Travel to Mago National Park to visit the semi-nomadic Mursi tribe, recognized for their large lip plates and stick-fighting traditions. After exploring their village, return to Jinka for lunch before being transferred to Jinka Airport for a flight back to Addis Ababa.
